This complex consists of a 40 foot high, 48,000 sq. ft addition to the existing athletics facility at Carleton University, complete with a 2,250 sq.ft. link with public washroom facilities. The building is a pre-engineered Honco structure, complete with exterior steel cladding and a wall of windows on the north end. The building is designed to be expanded to 60,000 sq.ft. The complex houses a permanent indoor track, a full size soccer field with roll-up artificial turf and infrastructure for conventions.
Mechanical & Electrical Building Engineering consultants responsible for concept, design, construction document production and construction review of the mechanical & electrical systems for this project. Systems designed included HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, controls, power, lighting, fire alarm, security and telecom.
Goodkey Weedmark & Associates were a key participant in the design and construction of the construction management project. We worked with the architect, builder and owner to meet the time and budget constraints.
