Two (2) buildings, a six (6) storey 70,000 sq.ft. and ten (10) storey office building with link and one (1) level underground parking.
The project was submitted for the Commercial Building Incentive Program (CBIP) and achieved 27% better efficiency than the Model National Energy Code for Buildings (MNECB) reference buildings.
Sustainable features of the building include site location and proximity to public transportation, low flow faucets, high efficiency boilers & domestic water heaters, lighting control and DDC control systems.
Renovation challenges included scheduling, review and investigation of existing systems, adding new systems to an existing structure improving system design as it relates to past building operation and energy costs.
